The quest for the perfect Shanghai dumpling- pan fried and steamed. ooooh!!!! they must be like Joe Shanghai Soup Dumplings!! I bet it was all types of deliciousness!!
First off, the shout out in the other post = much appreciated. Very funny how small of a world it is. I look forward to hearing how the connection was actually made given the size of the town both of us escaped.
And for when you get back, you gotta read a book re: the quest for the perfect xiao long bao detailed in a book by Jen Lin-Liu. I'd give you the title except it's shared with another controversial (read: banned) book written there and I don't want to anger the Great Firewall. (Look it up on Amazon).
